Milk

Milk is one of the most common food allergens. Allergy to milk is the most common food allergy in infants and young children. Approximately 2.5% of children younger than three (3) years of age are allergic to milk. People with an allergy to cow’s milk may also be allergic to milk from other animals, like sheep and goats. Symptoms of a milk allergy reaction can range from mild to severe. To prevent a reaction, strict avoidance of animal milk and milk products thereof is essential. ELISA SYSTEMS® offers test kits in two formats; ELISA (microwell) for quantitative and Lateral Flow for qualitative analysis of casein, β-lactoglobulin and total milk proteins.
